What will I learn?

The UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media and Broadcast Journalism covers a range of communication methods across modern media outputs with a focus on the creative and technical aspects in the digital world. We cover design, graphic and image creation to support your own written pieces for both print and online publication. In addition, we cover research skills and processes, investigation into output styles, bias and audience expectation and video recording and editing techniques for broadcast across online social media.

This is an ideal course for those wanting to enhance their production and software skills across a diverse range of multi-media avenues.

How will I learn?

You will be taught through a series of themed units that will allow you to choose your method of response. The course is very focused on individual need and direction and you will have a great deal of input into the method of learning you prefer with a tutorial based approach to the subject matter in most cases.

Year 1: UAL Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology (601/3986/9)

The majority of students move into specialist courses at university or take the HNC course here at CBC. The course can lead to successful careers in a wide variety of media jobs from advertising to film production, one past student is now a current DJ with Capital radio.

Are there any additional costs?

There are trips that will benefit your study experience. Students often choose to enhance their production work with additional props and costumes. Your own camera is also useful to have.
