As part of a broader education reform, the Department for Education (DfE) had already piloted a T-Level qualification which is aimed at helping students aged 16-19 to be work-ready. The very first T Level subjects will be taught from September 2020 in more than 50 colleges and other education/training providers. This means pupils who started Year 10 in September 2018 will be the first to be able to study them.   Amazon in Dunstable teamed up with Central Bedfordshire College for a day of educational fun for local secondary school pupils. Pupils from Vandyke Upper School enjoyed a day of activities at Camp Amazon in Dunstable, which included Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) based sessions with Central Bedfordshire College teachers, who visited the fulfilment centre to teach the pupils about a wide range of tech topics, including computer programming and educated them on further education in STEM subjects and the rewarding future career opportunities that STEM subjects offer. COLLEGE CLOSURE - FRIDAY 1ST FEBRUARY Central Bedfordshire College will be closed on Friday 1st February due to adverse weather conditions. We will Be open as normal on Saturday 2nd Februar for Saturday classes. Our Hair & Media Make-up students were delighted to be given the opportunity to provide face-painting at The Grove Theatre press launch event for their pantomime, Snow White! The group of students provided festive face painting to all of the children at the Pantomime on the 8th December and were kindly invited to watch the show as guests of the Theatre.
