Student Welfare Services
The Student Welfare Team is committed to helping you access services and providing support to enable you to get the most out of your time at College.

The Student Welfare Help Desk is located at the main site in Dunstable and is a one-stop shop for any queries you may have. Student Welfare also holds surgeries at the Houghton Regis Campus on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings throughout term time. The team holds information on transport, accommodation, FE financial assistance, childcare funding, enrichment options, NUS cards etc. They also hold contact details for a wide range of local and national organisations that can help you with many different issues that you may have whilst studying.

The Student Welfare Team works closely with tutors and tutor assistants to help resolve any difficult situations that students may face by exploring choices and considering possible solutions. The information and advice given are impartial and confidential*

If your query is complex, the Student Welfare Help Desk Advisor can make appointments for you to see Connexions, Student Welfare Staff or the Funding Team. If appropriate, the Advisor will make referrals to other College staff, outside agencies or mediate with them on your behalf. Student Welfare can visit any of the College’s outreach locations by appointment.

*Information given to staff is confidential to the College and should only be shared with other staff members on a need-to-know basis. Consent should be sought when sharing information unless the withholding of it will cause risk or harm to others or it relates to a Child Protection issue.
