HE & Adult Learner Course Guide

Going back to College as an adult is a great chance to develop your skills and progress in your chosen career or start a brand new one!

We understand that you have a life to juggle and commitments that can make returning to study a challenge, but with part-time courses and exceptional student support, we aim to make it as stress-free as possible.

Our part-time courses are designed not only to boost your CV but to boost your confidence too and whether you are looking for a short term course to improve your job prospects or would like to progress to Higher Education, we’re here to help get you on the right track.

Financial support:

If you have concerns about paying for your chosen course, please do not hesitate to contact our Welfare team and we can explore your options. Available options include the 19+ Advanced Learner Loan which enables you to pay nothing until you have finished your course and are earning over £21,000 a year. If you were looking to complete a Higher Education Access course and then progress onto a degree-level course, you wouldn’t incur any costs for your original Access course.

Studying at CBC:

Our part-time courses are taught across our campuses, and we also have a range of courses taught within the community. Our industry-experienced tutors and Student Services team are on hand to support you throughout your course and beyond.
