Do you want to move into the world of business? Would you like to work in business administration, marketing, finance, human resources, sales and customer service? Business studies gives an excellent overview of specialities sure to provide you with the knowledge you need to become a brilliant asset to any industry.
This qualification is designed for learners aged 16 and above who want to progress into employment in the first instance, or further learning, depending on their own needs and interests.
This qualification aims to provide learners with the essential knowledge of how to carry out every day and more complex administrative tasks such as managing information, planning meetings and delivering presentations.
The objectives of this qualification are to provide learners with:
an understanding of the essential skills required to work successfully in a business environment the skills required to solve problems in a business environment an understanding of business culture and responsibilities the ability to successfully communicate and work with others in a business environment *the opportunity to develop the skills required to manage and improve their own performance in a business environment
Learners must achieve a minimum of 6 units from a choice of 10 graded optional units, for example: Business culture and responsibilities, Delivering customer service in a business environment, Communicate in a business environment.
Alongside your academic study, you will develop your work ready skills through work placement and practical activities. Your Tutor will be on hand to support you throughout your course to develop your skills, prepare you for your next steps and help you to achieve your goals.
What options are there after completing this course?
Upon completing your course, you have a great range of options available to help you continue your adventure. Once you have completed this level 3 course, you can progress into employment, you also have the option to progress to a higher apprenticeship or into study at level 4/ 5 or on to higher education. The course attracts UCAS points if university is your choice.
