Course Overview
The Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology gives you a deeper knowledge of a wide range of roles and opportunities for study in more specialist media fields. This is a wide scope media course that allows you to develop skills in a wide range of different creative media fields including video production, photography, animation, editing and print. It has been designed to provide learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to entry level roles or further study and training in a range of media-related subjects. It also introduces you to the diversity of roles and responsibilities in the media sector and gives you the opportunity to explore the history and context of a variety of media discplines.
Your areas of study will include: An introduction to creative media methods and skills. An introduction to production techniques in creative media. How to understand audiences in creative media production. How to conduct contextual research for creative media productions. Exploring audio production and technology. Exploring visual production and technology. Exploring interactive media production and technology.
Your assessments throughout this course will keep you on track to achieve; these could include group projects, assignment tasks and a portfolio of work to support your learning. Your year culminates in your Final Major Project which sees you specialising in an area of your choosing.
