Course Overview

You will explore graphic design and advertising as a communication tool through a range of 2D and 3D assignments, from typography and layout to packaging, marketing and social media using design materials and software applications including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. This course aims to improve your visual research and study skills in preparation for your progression. You will be developing an individual career plan towards working in the creative industries. This course will help you build an individual portfolio of work appropriate for your chosen progression routes. We offer enrichment programme of visits includes London exhibitions of art and design works in order to broaden knowledge of creative studio practise as well as employer engagement, working to live and competition briefs and working with design organisations as well as local companies. Students will also be addressing appropriate skills/qualifications in English, Maths and Personal Professional Development.

Your Tutor will be on hand to support you throughout your course to develop your skills, prepare you for your next steps and help you to achieve your goals.

Personal Professional Development sessions (PPD) will teach you valuable skills that employers are looking for including communication, time management and life skills that you can take with you anywhere you go!
