Course Overview

Our level 2 CISCO IT Essentials courses covers careers skills needed for entry level IT jobs. You will enjoy working with CISCO's Network Academy's advanced simulation tools and having multiple hands on labs to hone your trouble shooting skills and practice what you learn. You will also prepare for the CompTIA A+ Certification.

The course is offered as mixture of remote and on-site learning where the following core skills will be developed: • Install, configure and trouble shoot computers and mobile devices • Identify common security threats such as phishing and spoofing • Critical thinking and problem solving skills using both real equipment and CISCO Packet Tracer

There are 7 units of study and assessment is through a combination of online exams, discussions and practical work. You will be required to take a final online multiple choice theory assessment and a skills based test to achieve the CISCO IT Essentials 1 Certificate.

Your Tutor will be on hand to support you throughout your course to develop your skills, prepare you for your next steps and help you to achieve your goals. The Online Management system tracks progress through the course in the Grade book module available through the Cisco Portal. You will have regular feedback from the Cisco Instructor regarding your progress and what you need to do to succeed in your studies.
