This qualification in Engineering is designed to give new entrants to the engineering sector the underpinning knowledge and specific skills required to meet the needs of the modern and emerging engineering industries.
This course will give you the opportunity to build on a range of skills in engineering, it will enhance education and training for learners progressing into the engineering industries supporting progression on to higher education, employment and apprenticeships We have high professional standards and expectations of our learners and expect excellent attendance, punctuality and attitude to work. This course includes exams and ongoing practical assessments. Lessons can consist of lectures, discussions, independent research, online tests and individual and group practical tasks. Areas of study could include: Further mathematics for Engineering Technicians Computer Aided Design (CAD) Individual engineering Project Computer Networks You will need to pass required exams to pass the whole course. Tutor are on hand, throughout your course, to provide support, develop your skills, prepare you for your next steps and help you to achieve your goals.

Work Experience is crucial to preparing you for your next steps and here you will have access to a wide range of employers to make sure you gain plenty of workplace experience. Careers Advice & Guidance is available throughout your time at CBC from our friendly, dedicated Advisors. They can provide you with a wide range of support including CV writing, UCAS applications, interview skills and much more.
