Course content
This course is for those who wish to improve or develop their existing English reading and writing skills, and gain qualifications nationally recognised by employers and training providers. This GCSE syllabus combines English Language with elements of English Literature, including explicit and implicit meanings; analyse, evaluate and develop facts, ideas and opinions; articulate experience; sequence facts, ideas and opinions; use a range of appropriate vocabulary and make accurate use of spelling, punctuation and grammar. You will also learn how to understand and produce non-fiction and fictional texts.

A range of activities at the appropriate level that will develop reading and writing skills.
How will I be assessed?
Assessments will take place on two final examinations in May and June. There will be practice assessments during the year that will assess how your skills are developing
