This unit is about the application of a variety of self tanning products to specific areas of the body, including the face, neck and shoulders, lower arms and hands, lower legs and feet. To carry out this unit you will need to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene procedures throughout your work.
You will learn through a variety of different methods including theory and 3 practical assessments.
Your areas of study will include: Health and safety Client communication Manual tan application Spray tan application
Your assessments throughout this course will keep you on track to achieve; assignment tasks and a portfolio of work to support your learning and an exam.
Your Tutor will be on hand to support you throughout your course to develop your skills, prepare you for your next steps and help you to achieve your goals.
What options are there after completing this course?
Upon completing your course, you have a great range of options available to help you continue your adventure. You may choose to study other short course in the evenings, if that is all you have time for. Or you will be certified, for insurance purposes, to go out and start delivering tanning services. You will need to purchase a kit to be able to do this course. A kit list will be given to you on enrolment but you will need to be purchase it yourself. This is something that may be covered under funding, so please ask and apply.
