4 9-4 or A*-C GCSE grades (including English) or A Distinction in a relevant Level 2 Diploma and a 4 or C in GCSE English. If you do not meet these entry requirements please ask about our Level 2 programmes.
Will the course give me what I want?
This two year course is ideal for those who want to pursue a career in the following areas; adult residential care home, nursing home, day centre, community care, special schools, nursing, counselling, paramedic science, midwifery and social work.
This course covers a wide range of subject areas; psychology, sociology, infection prevention, anatomy and physiology, research project, communication, safeguarding and equality and diversity amongst others. This ensures that there is something that would meet everyones preferred interest.

How will I learn?
The course is based in college through face to face teaching which includes project work, practical tasks, written assignments, reports, presentations and through work experience 75 hours in the first year (Certificate) and 100 hours for the second year (Extended Diploma)

Work Placements need to be completed in health and social care related settings such as Care homes, day centres, supporting students with additional needs, dentist reception, optician reception and special schools
