Course content

If you like cars and mechanics and want to pursue a career in the Motor Vehicle industry, here you can learn in our garage working on real cars. You will gain the technical skills and experience you need to succeed in a fast-growing industry as a motor mechanic. Level 3 will suit you if you have considerable experience working as a motor vehicle engineer and want to advance your career by learning more advanced skills as well as starting to take on management roles.


This course is delivered at our Luton Road Campus

How will I learn?

Through realistic practical sessions and theory-based work

How will I be assessed?

You will be observed carrying out practical tasks, through written assignments and online/written exams

Equipment and other costs

You will need to provide your own safety boots and work trousers/overalls, A4 Lever arch file, dividers and plastic wallets.

What additional work outside of college will I need to do?

You will be required to complete work outside of the classroom and study independently

Progress onto a Higher Education course following this course or alternatively gained employment in the Automotive trade.

What are the expected employment sectors for this course?
