Will the course give me what I want?
This course is a great starting point for anybody that would like to work with the public. Whilst the course mainly focuses on careers in the police, fire service, prison service, army, navy and RAF, we will also help you if your career path is different. We have a history of good grades on the Level 2 course and encourage students to push themselves to aim for Distinctions and to progress on to higher qualifications.

How will I learn?
You will be able to learn in a fun and interactive environment with a tutor that is experienced in teaching a range of public services courses. You will learn through a variety of different methods including practicals, interactive sessions, videos, presentations, lectures, group work and self evaluations.
How will I be assessed?
Your assessments throughout this course will continuously monitor your progress; these could include practicals, essays, worksheets or presentations.
Equipment and other costs
We do ask that any student wishing to partake in trips and visits purchases the public services kit, which consists of a hoodie and polo shirt. There are other optional items available too.
What additional work outside of college will I need to do?
You will be expected to complete some of your assignments at home and submit them through Microsoft Teams.
Do I need to find a work placement? Do I need a DBS?
No, there is no work placement for this course, and you wont need a DBS.
