Do you want to have an active, invigorating career in sport? Whether you want to be a personal trainer, physiotherapist, sports scientist or professional athlete, a course at CBC can get you off to a great start.
The course provides an understanding from a range of disciplines under the sports umbrella with a strong emphasis on the human body. You will learn about the key components that relate to the scientific principles of sport that are inclusive of anatomy and physiology, sports and exercise psychology and field based fitness tests. These principles are studied so that you gain an underpinning knowledge regarding the practical aspects of sports and exercise, including training, fitness assessment and elite level performance. The course as a whole aims to be holistic and provides you with the opportunity to learn from a range of disciplines from sports coaching, personal training and nutrition.

Your assessments throughout this course will continuously monitor your progress; these could include practicals, research tasks or presentations.
Your Tutor will be on hand to support you throughout your course to develop your skills, prepare you for your next steps and help you to achieve your goals.

English & Maths: You may not be sure whether these subjects are relevant to you, but good English and Maths skills will be vital to any career path and we¿re here to support you in developing yours.
Work Experience is crucial to preparing you for your next steps and here you will have access to a wide range of employers to make sure you gain plenty of workplace experience. Careers Advice & Guidance is available throughout your time at CBC from our friendly, dedicated Advisors. They can provide you with a wide range of support including CV writing, UCAS applications, interview skills and much more. Guest Speakers from, and visits to, a range of different public services.
What options are there after completing this course?
Upon completing your course, you have a great range of options available to help you continue your adventure. You can progress onto a Level 3 qualification in Sport or Personal Training.
