Adding value to your business with free online courses!

Adding value to your business with free online courses!

Culture is an integral part of any business that expects to grow and a key part of a growth culture is continuous learning. Whether it’s achieving operational excellence to grow profit or delivering employee satisfaction to retain staff, development of employee skill sets to meet best practice is vital and offers many holistic benefits too.

The clear benefits

In a world where it’s difficult to find time away from your desk, online learning can provide a great way to help businesses upskill their team but also give employees the chance to grow their skills with specialist qualifications recognised throughout the workplace. This can often lead to greater employee well-being, an increased sense of accomplishment as well as opportunities to take on greater responsibilities or even a promotion.

Using tools and resources available 24/7 through the internet, online courses can enable people to learn at their own pace and offer the great deal of flexibility needed in the 21st century workplace environment. And it’s for these reasons that online learning is such a growing choice for businesses and employees.

We’ve recently launched a number of online courses which are entirely free and designed to help businesses upskill their teams and help individuals enhance their CV. These are specialised vocational courses that aim to teach learners in-demand skills that can be directly transferred into a working environment.

Who is eligible?

Available to anyone over the age of 18, as well as local organisations and businesses of all sizes, these short online courses are completely free if the learner completes them within 12 weeks of starting and matches an eligibility criteria. This offers the perfect opportunity to study flexibly around the working week and other commitments.

Our new online courses are split into three key areas;

  • Important work-place skills
    • These courses include learning the basics of starting up a business all the way through to understanding more about mental health in the workplace as well as, safeguarding, equality and diversity.
  • Health and social care
    • Specifically designed for those businesses or individuals in the health and social care industry. Examples of the types of courses on offer include the safe handling of medication and understanding learning difficulties.
  • Courses for education professionals
    • For those working in education, these free courses focus on key skills such as providing information advice and guidance, managing challenging behaviour and leading difficulties.

The recognition of distance courses

Distance courses are a great way to gain specific knowledge in a chosen field or subject. Some of our qualifications are accredited with an awarding body but not all – you’ll need to check this prior to enrolling.

The logistics of online learning

We understand that many people and businesses are looking to upskill or retrain but often it’s difficult to find the time around current commitments. With these courses being solely online, assignments and tests all happen within an online portal that can be accessed 24/7 from any device or smartphone with an internet connection releasing that burden.

After an enrolment session, you will be provided your login details where there are instructions for how to complete your chosen course.
